Perrin Woods Elementary School Reviews

this is a very good school i went here and i was very happy and haved lotes of friends

Perrin Woods is a school where positivity is a way of life. Students are taught the importance of respect for their teachers, fellow students, and even for themselves by folowing school rules. Perrin Woods is a State of Ohio, Positive Behavior Intervention Supported school and there is the feeling of peace and unity within the school. The staff and administration are second to none and truly care about the students.

My three kids will be attending Perrin Woods. My daughter was in kindergarden last year. She learned so much! My son ia autistic and is in the Special Ed class. My youngest son will be in preschool this year. I can't stress enough about parent involvement! As a parent you NEED to be there for your kids! From helping them with there homework to keeping in contact with the teacher! Perrin Woods is a great school but I don't think my daughter would of done as well if my husband and I didn't work with her everyday! She went from not knowing her letters to reading the newspaper! These years are so important. Years that you can never get back!

Not a bad school, but I have noticed a decline in The quality of the school since they merged with another that was closed. There aren't many programs for the children that excell but on a positive note parents are encouraged to participate.

I think that Perrin Woods could be a much better school if would have more activities involving parents and if they would do a better job of informing parents in a timely manor of upcoming events. I also believe that the academic scores could improve if the class sizes could be smaller to allow more one on one time with those students who are struggling. As it stands now those students slip right through the system without having the necessary skills to make it through high school, so as a result they end up dropping out. This is not only a perrin woods problem, but a springfield city schools problem as a whole.
