Fulton Elementary School Reviews

Fulton Elementary is a wonderful school with the best Principal in the world! Sherry Cross makes Fulton fun for students as well as parents. Fulton is an 'America's Choice' school. They have an awesome talent show for the kids called, 'Fulton Idol'. Mrs. VanHoose the Booster President, writes, directs, produces and choreographs the whole show! Many VIP Community members show up for this yearly event. Fulton is on the right track, keep up the great work!

I had two children attending Fulton in the 2004-2005 school year and they just love it here. The principal is very loving and the teachers are great. My first child started in 4th grade(a transfer from Emmanuel Christian Academy) and my second child is in kindergaten. We thought their would be a big difference in the academic level and to our surprise it was not. The academics was just as challenging except for Reading. However, the academic advisor(Mrs. Shipley) worked with us and gave us more involved work to do with our child at home and that was a plus. The Math was actually at a higher level than at ECA and that was delightful to see. We loved that choir and band is available to students also. The only thing I would like to see is that the kindergarten start reading earlier in the year.

Where to start? I will begin by saying we have a new school building. It is state of the art and very inviting. The principal, Marsha Garner, is a fantastic lady and educator. Her students and staff love her. I am a Grandparent of two students at Fulton, and I have always been welcomed into the school. I served as President of the Fulton Boosters and am currently active in the school. The Quality of academic programs is outstanding. I have read from the school books and have learned more since being out of school for over 30 years. We are a racially balanced school. The availability of music, art and band are all an asset to our school activities. Parent involvement could be better. I am working on this and we WILL make it. The Teachers all make you feel welcomed.

I want to give a positive comment about one of your 1st grade teachers, Ms. Watkins. My son has her this year and not only has his attitude improved but so has his love for learning. I have been to her class for parent teacher conferences and her style of teaching is wonderful. She has informed me about anything I wanted to know about my son and how he is doing in her class. I can see as a parent that she enjoys her students. I give praise to her and she is an asset to Fulton Elementary.
