About Dayton, Ohio

Situated in the southeastern portion of the State of Ohio, Dayton is a busy city with a population of approximately 170,000. The Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is situated here and brings in thousands of visitors each year.

Known as the “Gem City”, Dayton is home to many national corporations that make it a great place to live and work. Cargill, CareSource, Huffy Bicycles, Behr Thermal Paper Products, Lexis Nexis, Teradata, and Reynolds and Reynolds are all companies that call Dayton home.

With an Air Force Base in the city, it is no surprise that one of the most popular tourist destinations in Dayton is the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. Other popular Dayton attractions are the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, SunWatch Indian Village and Archaeological Park, the Dayton Art Institute, Carriage Hill Farm, the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historic Park, Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center, The Packard Museum, and the National City Second Street Market.
