Start Point Address / Driving Directions:
Huffman MetroPark, 4439 Lower Valley Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45424. Directions: From the east or west on I-70, exit Rt. 4 south (Exit #41). Travel south approximately 3 miles and when you see the sign for Huffman Dam Road, merge to the LEFT and slow down. There will be a left turn lane for you to cross Rt 4. and go onto Lower Valley Pike. From the south on I-75, merge onto Rt. 4 north of Dayton and follow Rt 4 for approximately 5 miles. DO NOT EXIT at the sign for WPAFB Rt. 444 but prepare to slow down and merge right as soon as you go under Rt. 444 and see the sign for Huffman Dam Road. You will come to a stop sign and then continue straight onto Lower Valley Pike. From the north on I-75, take I-70 eastbound and follow the east/west directions. AVA directions signs will be posted. Event Description: Both trails are on grass, gravel, and pavement. Both trails have some moderate hills and one set of concrete steps and require the walker to climb over a guardrail at the top. The 10k trail has one fairly long hill up to the Wright Brothers Memorial. The trail is NOT accessible to wheel chairs, strollers, and wagons. There will be a restroom and water at the start and at the checkpoints. Both trails are rated a 2.

The event is FREE and everyone is welcome. Due to AVA regulations, each participant must obtain and carry a start card and sign a waiver. Cost for IVV credit is $3.00. There are “B” awards available. Pets on a leash are welcome. Owners must control and clean up after them. The sponsors are not liable for accident, theft and/or material damage. Every effort will be made to make this event safe and enjoyable. The walk will be held regardless of weather. Amenities:
